Bulky household waste collection service

This service is for domestic customers for collection of items such as those listed below:

• Household appliances such as microwaves, cookers, washing machines, fridges and freezers
• Electrical appliances such as TVs and PCs
• Beds and mattresses
• Bags of garden waste
• Rolls of carpet

The service is chargeable and the cost must be paid in full at the time of booking. 

Please see the pricing structure below or you will be able to see a running total of costs on the booking system as items are added. If your item is not listed please contact the Worcester City call centre for a quote or alternative disposal advice.

General waste collections, excluding white goods, electrical items and any metal items take place on a Tuesday.

White goods such as cookers, washing machines, dishwashers, spin and tumble dryers, domestic fridges, freezers, electrical items such as microwave ovens, TVs or anything metal such as bicycles, radiators or BBQs are only collected on a Thursday.

We make collections between 07:00 and 15:30.

Please note that the City Council no longer operates a Saturday Skips service.

General conditions

Any single item must not be heavier than two men can reasonably be expected to safely lift. Should any items be too heavy to lift on the day of collection then the item will be left and a refund made to the customer.

Please ensure that any items such as fence panels, and patio decking are broken down into smaller pieces, before collection, to enable them to fit easily into the back of the lorry

We cannot remove:

• commercial fridges or freezers
• hazardous items such as chemicals, clinical waste, car batteries, tyres, gas bottles, ceramic items such as toilets

• sheet glass, such as glass tables, windows, shower screens

You can take items to one of the local household waste sites if you do not wish to use this service.

Concessions

Worcester City Council offers a free concessionary bulky waste collection service for those who are in receipt of Council Tax Support.  Please complete the booking form below, and select that you are receiving Council Tax Support when asked. An officer will get in touch with you once you have submitted the form.

Please note that there may be a long waiting time for Concessionary collections. If you need your items removed sooner, then please select the Paid-for service.

Bookings

Please be aware that bookings must be made no later than 13:00 on Friday for a Tuesday collection and 16:00 on Tuesday for Thursday white goods collections.

Refunds will only be made if items are cancelled before the date of collection.
