New website is a one-stop-shop for finding activities and venues in Worcester

Published: 25 July 2019

A new online directory promises to be the go-to place to find local hobby groups, support, fun activities and venues for hire in Worcester. The website Find It Do It at finditdoit.worcester.gov.uk, launched by the City Council, aims to help residents find activities in and around Worcester. It also lists rooms and spaces which can be used to host meetings, new clubs and activities, or social events. Rather than list one-off events, Find It Do It lists useful organisations and regular clubs and classes so that residents can get more involved with their local community or find monthly meet-ups with like-minded people who share the same interests. The platform has been designed to be easy to navigate, with users simply punching in their postcode or a keyword to find relevant activities and resources in their local area. For those who want to discover something new, there is also the option to browse by categories including the arts, learning or heritage. Councillor Lynn Denham, Vice Chair of Worcester City Council's Communities Committee, says: "Find It Do It has the potential to be a fantastic platform for residents. We hope that the website will get more people in touch with the wide range of lively community groups and activities going on all over the city, helping to make Worcester a healthy, active city for all." Many organisations and venues have already taken up their free listing on Find It Do It.
