The Worcester Show will once again be full of music, dancing and colour when the community event bursts into life next week.

Taking place on Sunday 11 August at Pitchcroft, the day will feature a host of acts and band genres on the main and Worcester Mela stages.

Donato Esposito, of the Friends of Worcester Show, said: “Every year we have a host of bands and musical performers who provide entertainment for everybody during the day.

“There will be songs you know and some you might not, from a range of local performers.

“We are delighted to welcome back Worcester Mela who will bring bright colours and cultural sounds to their own stage and marquee.

“We want everybody in Worcester to come down and enjoy a day of music and dancing.”

The main stage will see some of the finest local music talent doing their thing.

The Marrs Bar House Band support and encourage the best up-and-coming talent Worcester has to offer.

They will take to the main stage along with invited acts and some of the best junior artists around.

Crowd pleasers Secret Cabaret are returning, while Show newbies The Other Covers will be bringing their own take on some much-loved classics.

Also performing are the foot-stomping brass-electro fusion of Capas.

And of course, it would not be the Worcester Show without a good sprinkling of the variety and the diversity our city has to offer.

The Dhol Crew have revitalised the art of the Dhol drum for the modern era and will be taking to the main stage with their traditional and contemporary music.

Worcester Mela will provide a cultural feast of the senses, including music and dancing, to their own stage.

Performing on the Mela stage will be singers and bands including Awantika, The Melting Pot, Jin & Seetal, and Tariq Saher.

The Mela marquee will also have workshops to learn new skills including dancing, cooking and drumming.

Worcester Show celebrates everything great about the community in our city. This year entry to the Show will cost £2 per adult, with under-16s going free.

There will be a host of activities for the whole family including our sports and kids’ zones, village games and tug of war.
