Garden waste collections back in action

Published: 09 April 2020

Worcester City Council is resuming collections of customers' garden waste on Tuesday 14 April.

The paid-for service had to be suspended on 19 March so that the Council could focus on emptying black bins in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Council has put extra resources into bin collections over the past week to catch up with all black and green bins, enabling the garden waste service to resume.

The brown garden bins will be emptied on customers' normal collection days. Look up your collection day (opens in a new window).

Customers are asked not to put out bagged side waste, but to store any garden waste that will not fit into their brown bin until their next collection day.

Worcester City Council would like to thank garden waste customers for their patience and understanding during this difficult time.
