Worcester's Guildhall is to host a donor registration event this Saturday (March 9), giving city residents another chance to sign up to be a potential match for five-year-old Oscar Saxelby-Lee, who has a rare form of blood cancer.
A similar event at Oscar's school, Pitmaston Primary, attracted over 4,800 people last weekend, and the event at the Guildhall will give more people the chance to offer to donate their stem cells to Oscar.
People aged from 17 to 55 can come along to the Guildhall between 10am and 4pm to register as a stem cell donor. The charity DKMS will take swabs from attendees and check if they are a tissue match for Oscar, who has a rare form of leukaemia.
Disabled access is available at the Guildhall.
The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Jabba Riaz, said: "I'm very proud of the overwhelming response of Worcester people to this appeal, showing once again that we are a city of love, not hate. I'm delighted the Guildhall is providing another opportunity to support Oscar and I want to urge everyone who has been touched by his battle against cancer to come along and register to be a donor."

He was given just three months to live and is in desperate need of a stem cell transplant.
DKMS will test swabs taken from everyone at Saturday's event to see if they could be a matching donor for Oscar.
