New website to boost Worcester’s tourism appeal

Published: 25 January 2023

A new website has been launched to further boost Worcester's growing reputation as a tourist attraction.

The new site is based around the city's Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at the Guildhall in High Street.

It's bursting with useful information about why Worcester is a great place to visit, what's on in the city, and the services on offer at the TIC itself.

It's also a handy place to download some of the free information leaflets available from the TIC, including guides to the city and where to stay, a heritage walking trail, and a directory of dog-friendly destinations.

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, Chair of Worcester City Council's Place and Economic Development Committee, said: "Recent figures show that tourism contributed £747 million to the county's economy in 2021, and Worcester's Tourist Information Centre has a big role to play in bringing visitors into our city.

"The new site at www.worcestertouristinformation.co.uk tells people everything they need to know about where to find the TIC and the services it offers – as well as fun information on why Worcester is a top destination and the many things they can do when they get here."

The new website has been built and designed by Worcester City Council and can be visited here
