Enjoy a night out – and help raise charity cash

Published: 14 April 2022

Tickets are still available for the Mayor of Worcester's charity dinner, so if you fancy getting dressed in your best AND helping to raise money for worthy causes, why not buy tickets and go along?

The event is to be held on the evening of April 29 in the splendour of the Guildhall and will include a three-course meal and a charity auction.

Mayor Councillor Stephen Hodgson will be hosting the event in the Assembly Room.

Guests will arrive at 6.30pm for a prosecco reception before enjoying a three-course meal, an auction, raffle and live entertainment both before and after the meal.

Musical entertainment will be provided by talented singer/songwriter Angie Brown who has provided backing vocals for a variety of artists including Kate Bush, Grace Jones and the Rolling Stones.

Tickets are £50 per person and all proceeds will go to the Mayor's charities, which this year are Aspie – a Worcester-based social, support and therapy group for adults with Asperger's syndrome; and also the Stroke Association.

Mayor Cllr Hodgson said: "I am really looking forward to the charity dinner – it promises to be a lot of fun and more importantly, a chance to raise lots of money for the two very worthy causes that I chose as my mayoral charities."
