Get your entries in for this year’s Worcester Show

Published: 01 April 2022

Competitors of all ages are invited to start submitting their entries for this summer's Worcester Show.

Fun for all the family is promised at this year's event, which is set to return on Sunday August 14 in the spacious surroundings of Pitchcroft Racecourse.

Last year's show attracted record numbers and organisers are hoping that this year's event will prove even more popular with residents and tourists alike. Competition entry forms are now available at the Worcester Show website where stalls can be booked too.

Whether you've got green fingers or a talent for baking, there is something for everyone at this year's show, with 140 competition classes showcasing everything from giant vegetables and blooming wonderful floral displays to cakes, preserves and crafts

There will be classes for children and for schools – and even the family pooch can take part, as a fun dog show is among the attractions.

Youngsters can enjoy themselves in the Kids Zone with games, face painting and a host of fun activities, and there will also be a sports zone offering taster sessions of various sports.

There will be musical entertainment and plenty of stalls offering a wide variety of drinks and refreshments.

Themes for this year will be the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and also Harry Potter.

The show is delivered by Worcester City Council, supported by the Friends of Worcester Show.

Ian Hilton-Turvey of the Friends of Worcester Show said: "We've been busy with many exciting practical activities to prepare for this year's event, including creating an improved look for the Worcester Show website and bright new branding that we feel showcases the event really well when seen across Worcester. We are looking forward to welcoming the city and community on the day for family-wide fun and entertainment."

Entries for the show, and applications for market stalls and pitches, are now open. To enter a class or to find out more about the event, go to the Worcester Show website.
