Dog owners can now pick up a ‘woof’ guide to Worcester

Published: 24 March 2022

Dog owners can now plan fun-packed days out with their four-legged friends by checking out a new guide: 'Worcester Woofs,' available from the Tourist Information Centre in the city's Guildhall.

Leaflets detailing the best places for locals and visitors to take their dogs for walks, along with a list of dog-friendly places to eat and drink, have now hit the shelves of the TIC and all are invited to drop in, pick up a guide and take a look for themselves.

Suitable riverside and canalside walks are listed in the leaflet, as well as outings to places such as Cripplegate Park, Fort Royal Park, Gheluvelt Park and Worcester Woods Park, the latter two also having dog-friendly cafés. A handy map is included, along with details of parking in the area.

But the leaflet isn't just about walks, it also lists over 90 pubs, bars, restaurants and coffee shops which either allow dogs inside or outside the premises while their owners are enjoying a drink or a meal.

Tourist Information Centre manager, Ruth Smith, said: "There is so much to see and enjoy in Worcester – we have beautiful walks, picturesque parks, and a wealth of excellent places to eat and drink. We're very much a dog-friendly city and our new guide provides a perfect companion to anyone wishing to explore the area with their pets."
