Trotshill Field and Trotshill Copse

On either side of Trotshill Lane East, these two sites provide quite different habitats. On a summer afternoon, the sunny Trotshill Field with its black knapweed and tufted vetch contrasts with the cool dappled shade of Trotshill Copse.

Access: Field - pedestrian entrances from the Swallowfields play area and from the cycle path leading from Trotshill Lane East. Copse - pedestrian entrances on Trotshill Lane East, Barass Avenue, and from the Warndon Wood roundabout on Parsonage Way.

surfaced footpaths (Copse), play areas nearby

Open: Pedestrian access 24hrs 

Dogs: Well behaved dogs welcome, please clean up after your dog using the bin provided nearby.

Habitat: Wildflower Meadow, Scrub, Recent Secondary Woodland, Hedgerows, Pond, Veteran trees, young and veteran Fruit Trees

Notable Wildlife: Black Knapweed, Tufted Vetch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Field Rose 

Other features:  Trotshill Field is occasionally used as a Forest School by the local primary school.
